ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT, as the name suggests, focuses on the process of the acceptance of a situation rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions.  Instead learning to be present (acceptance) with them, without acting or avoiding those thoughts, feelings and emotions.  It helps clients live a fulfililng life through the setting of values which are important to the client and living life in accordance with those values.
